Disney loves its live action remakes and it is safe to assume that one day they will have live action versions of all their classic animated movies. According to The Disinsider, one of the next projects in its new version is the story of Rapunzel, whose animated film was titled Tangled.
Ever since the 2010 film, there have been a few Tangled franchises on screen namely Tangled Ever After (2012), Disney Original Tangled Before Ever After (2017), and Tangled the Series (2017-).

It is not known if the real action movie will be a new full version of Tangled up but Ashleigh Powell (The nutcracker and the four kingdoms) is writing the script. The movie will be produced by Michael De Luca (Moneyball, Captain Phillips) Kristin Burr (Christopher Robin) Executive study Zoe kent, who is working on the live action Lilo and Stitch for Disney + and Jessica Virtue (Mulan 2020) supervise the project with Lucy Kitada (Eleanor and Park).
The film will have a theatrical premiere and the studio is currently looking for a director. The story centers on the beautiful princess Rapunzel, who has been locked in a tower since an old witch captured her when she was a baby. Her long, magical blond hair has the power to provide her with eternal youth, and the evil Gothel uses this power to keep her young. At 18, Rapunzel is curious about the outside world, and when a prince uses his tower as a shelter, she asks him to help her escape.
The animated film brought home more than $590 million in the worldwide box office, it has certainly become a fan-favorite and fans are excited to see Rapunzel (and Flynn, too, hopefully) in a different light.
I enjoyed the animated film, but like most of the live-action remakes Disney makes, I don’t really need to see the story told again in live-action form.
