Burnley goalkeeper, Joe Hart has opened up on how he saved Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba’s penalty kick, following his side’s 2-0 defeat against the Red Devils in the Premier League on Sunday.
Two goals from striker, Romelu Lukaku ensured victory for the Red Devils at the Turf Moor Stadium.
Hart said he was able to save Pogba’s penalty because he knew the France international doesn’t just do the same thing every time.
He, however, said that Pogba likes making decision late whenever he wants to play a penalty.
Speaking on how he was able to save Pogba’s penalty, Hart told BBC Sport: “Yeah, Paul is very good at what he does.
“He’s a player who likes to feel what he’s doing, so a lot of people that would probably disrupt taking a penalty like that, but it doesn’t him.
“He makes decisions late in games, we see that. If someone steps off him, he keeps the ball, if someone comes up behind him, he flicks it.
“So that’s his game and i knew that. I checked his run up, you know he doesn’t just do the same thing every time.
“He sped the run up against Brighton, but I’ve got my own technique against players like that and today it worked.”
