Luke Shaw is very close to agreeing a new long-term contract at Manchester United, reports state.
The 23-year-old left-back sees his current deal expire next summer, but is poised to recommit his future at Old Trafford after returning to the first-team fold under Jose Mourinho.
Shaw endured a difficult campaign last term after recovering from a serious leg break, but has started seven of United’s eight Premier League games so far this season.
The England international is one of 11 Manchester United players whose current deals are set to expire in June 2019, but he is also one of several the club have been keen to retain.
Discussions have been ongoing with goalkeeper David de Gea and Anthony Martial, who both have options of a further year that could be triggered on their current deals.
